She couldn’t help by smile. She really didn’t ever frown in this relationship, everything was soo good she just couldn’t help but be all smiles all the time. “Alright, I was just making sure.” She said softly. Finn kissed the side of her neck and she giggled, she was super ticklish. She knew people were staring because they were in the honeymoon part of their relationship and they were being really cutesy. They moved up the line and a teenage boy asked what they would be having. “Can I have cookies and creme, with sprinkles.” She said lightly and she turned to Finn to see what he wanted and he ordered the same. “I’m just gonna go sit down baby.” She said kissing him and walking over to a small intimate table and sitting down.
Finn watched her go sit at the table before he pulled out his phone. He arched a brow as he looked towards the boy who was making the ice cream for the people that were in front of he and Santana. Looking back towards Santana once more, Finn dialed an all too familiar number. “Hey,” he smiled, “Okay dude, listen no need to yell.” Finn shook his head as he heard his friend yelling again through the phone. He wasn’t sure what it was all about, but he just let him go on and on as the boy behind the counter brought him their ice cream. Once he paid, Finn made his way to the table with Santana, kissing her on the cheek. “Let me just get off the phone with—” Finn started to tell Santana before he heard the line cut off on the other end. “Well, never mind,” he shrugged his shoulders as he stuffed his phone back into his pocket. “Sorry, it was my friend, the one who’s letting me rent that apartment,” he mumbled before taking a bite of his ice cream.

Santana was extremely happy with this relationship. Finn was amazing and he pulled her out of that dark place when she was with Ian. Yeah she was happy with Ian but Finn was something else. He was one of the most amazing people she had ever met. High school wasn’t exactly fun for the two of them but they got to know each other and she loved the person he was and regretted not getting to know him earlier. They were inside the small ice cream shop and they were standing in line while she looked at all the ice creams flavors. “There are so many.” She said looking up at Finn.” The scooted up in the line when Finn told her to get whatever she wanted. “Are you sure baby.” She said softly. She knew that Finn had been struggling a bit when they met and she didn’t like to put him in this position when he had to pay for her
“Yeah, yeah,” he nodded his head, wrapping his arms around her waist as he rested his head against her shoulder. “I have the money,” Finn whispered softly as he gave her a gentle squeeze. Turning his head slightly, Finn kissed the side of her neck as they moved up the line. Finn felt content in that moment as he closed his eyes until he heard someone. A teenaged boy from behind the counter stepped up as he asked what they wanted. Finn turned his head as he let Santana order hers first before he spoke. “That sounds good,” he mumbled to himself as he turned back around to the young boy. “I’ll get what she’s having,” he answered before the kid had a chance to ask.
They walked down the street together hand and hand, and she saw many people on their walk, many couples. She loved that Finn pulled her closer to him as they walked down the street she felt same in his arms. “Well this another first in our relationship baby.” She said with a smile and she reached up to crush their lips together. Santana hadn’t really noticed how amazing the city was at night, she would usually be in the clubs or at home with her best friend. She never really appreciated the view until she was out here with Finn on their walk. “Ice cream sounds great right now.” She said with a smile. “I love this.” She murmured as they reached an ice cream shop.
By the time the two of them were in the little building, Finn had the biggest smile on his face. Santana was seriously making everything better for him. Actually, for as long as he had been in New York, Finn wasn’t really happy until he found Santana and all his old high school friends. With the same small smile on his face, Finn leaned down to press his lips to the side of her head as they stood in line. “It all looks so good,” Finn mumbled to himself as he looked at the different varieties of flavors. Biting his bottom lip, Finn pulled out his wallet to see how much money he had. He smiled as he seen he had enough, “I’m pigging out tonight,” he muttered, pulling some cash from his wallet. Turning towards Santana with a smile on his face, he asked, “What do you want, San? You can get whatever you want.”
She looked at Finn as he was trying to work out something in his mind so she just got comfortable in his arms leaning against him. “Well I don’t know what to do. You wanted a night in so going out is pretty much out of the question.” She said looking up at him. He spoke and she looked up at him once more. “A walk sounds nice baby. And true, we can see the stars.” She said pulling him towards the door. It wasn’t too chilly outside so she didn’t bother putting on a jacket. “I love you.” She said once they were outside and making their way down the street. He was being amazing to her, and she couldn’t believe that this relationship was going so well.
“I love you too,” he whispered softly as he slipped his hand into hers, lacing their fingers together. With a smile on his face, Finn pulled Santana closer to him as they walked down the streets together. A lot of other people were out that night, but it didn’t bother him as much as he thought it would. “You know… after all this time I’ve been here… I’ve never done… well, this,” he gestured around him before speaking again, “I never actually went walking at night. I know it’s pretty much pointless in saying that, but…” Finn shrugged his shoulders as he trailed off. Some buildings down, Finn seen a sign that was very familiar to him. The closer he and Santana walked to it, the bigger the smile on his face was becoming. “Hey… do you want some ice cream? Or gelato… whatever they call it.”
